NATIONAL: Hybrid and virtual event platform vFairs is now integrating Zoom into its platform. In addition to accommodating a larger number of attendees, the new integration means that remote speakers can address an on-premise audience and broadcast to remote attendees simultaneously, including handling questions from both groups in real time.
CALGARY: Slated to open May 1 at the Grey Eagle Resort and Casino is the Grey Eagle Drive-In. A partnership between the resort, The Event Group, and SuperVision Ltd, the new venue will host live concerts and performances; guests will have the option of watching shows from their vehicles or from Grey Eagle’s hotel rooms, which overlook the space. The drive-in will hold 206 cars and feature a 32-foot covered stage with three large LED screens.
MONTREAL: Registration is now open for the West Island Women's Centre's Women's Forum, a virtual event taking place March 13-17. It will offer daily webinars and discussions focused on supporting entrepreneurs and enhancing business skills. Pricing starts at $10.
TORONTO: The Toronto Biennial of Art’s second edition is being postponed due to COVID-19. Originally scheduled for fall 2021, the event will now take place March 26 to June 5, 2022. It is designed to be a celebration of the arts across the city, offering free and accessible programming at a variety of venues and locations.
VANCOUVER: Starting March 6, 3D projection mapping will illuminate the facade of the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Called BRIGHT Downtown, the free outdoor light show is an initiative from the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association and is being produced by Go2 Productions.
