US: NVE’s New Content Division, Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, New York’s Newest Design Fair and More

NATIONAL: NVE Experience Agency has launched a new content division led by Ty Stafford, formerly of Omelet, and Catlin Callaway, formerly of ATTN: and Vice. The goal is to offer a variety of content solutions to new and existing brand partners, including organic and paid social, long- and short-form storytelling, digital broadcasts, livestreams and more.

LOS ANGELES: The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books will take place virtually from April 17-23. Featuring more than 30 individual events over seven days, the event’s lineup features a variety of writers, poets and artists, covering topics including race, immigrant experiences, historical romances and the human body. The festival is traditionally billed as the nation’s largest in-person literary event.

NEW YORK: The NY Luxury Design Fair will take place Sept. 9-12, 2021, at the Javits Center. The new show is created by theMART, which previously produced the Architectural Digest Design Show; it will be co-located with The Armory Show.

PITTSBURGH: Jill Garcia is the new president and owner of The Hutton Group: Inspired Meetings and Events, a full-service meeting planning company based in Pittsburgh. Garcia has been in the meeting and hospitality industry for over 30 years, working for global hotel brands, theme parks, destination management companies and as an independent meeting planner.

SAN FRANCISCO: The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) will reimagine its annual Art Bash fundraiser as a free virtual event series next month. Taking place April 12-15, the event will feature virtual offerings including panel conversations, workshops, auctions, a concert and a dance party.
