CANADA: Live Cocktail Classes, Mother’s Day Brunch, a Scavenger Hunt Throughout Vancouver and More

CALGARY: Shelter Cocktail Bar is hosting in-person cocktail classes to teach the art of mixology. Classes are $65 per person and teach attendees how to make three cocktails, plus the history on the cocktails and spirits, lessons on understanding glassware, and tips on muddling, stirring and shaking. There will also be a Q&A session and a cocktail competition for the chance to win prizes. The next public class is taking place May 4. Private class bookings are also available.

Heritage Park is hosting a 90-minute guided ghost tour through Historical Village every Thursday night from 7:00-8:30 p.m., now through May 6. On the walking tour, guests will learn about the spine-tingling history of the park. Tickets are $22.95 and include a keepsake Heritage Park flashlight.

TORONTO: Eatertainment is now offering spring/summer meal box menus perfect for a socially distanced or outdoor gathering. Large-format spreads include lockdown bundles, where patrons buying any family box get an additional bottle of wine or four tall cans of pale ale for $5. Menu highlights include beef ribs in sweet and sour sauce, kale pesto chicken, maple-infused watermelon, a grilled chicken adobo and pulled pork taco spread and much more. Delivery is free on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

To celebrate Mother’s Day, 10tation is offering brunch, dinner and dessert specials. The catering company's brunch box offering includes cold-pressed orange juice, baked cinnamon and apple french toast with honey butter, buttermilk fried chicken, quinoa salads and more. Dinner boxes serve four and include starters, a salad, pasta, an entree and a dessert. For something lighter and sweeter, a treat box offering is an assortment of vanilla sugar cookies, chocolate-covered Oreos, mini cake cones and chocolate-covered strawberries.

VANCOUVER: Epic Experiences is hosting a scavenger hunt designed to test your ability to survive after a zombie apocalypse. Team up with up to 10 people and, using a smartphone, navigate through the city within 60 minutes to collect supplies such as food and shelter in order to “survive.” Answer trivia questions along the way to win virtual weapons to help ward off zombies.
