NATIONAL: Facebook is hosting its eighth annual Connect Event virtually this year on Oct. 28. The event, which will showcase the brand's latest innovations in AR/VR as well as Facebook's vision for the metaverse, is free to all attendees and will begin with a keynote address followed by various breakout and development sessions.
Event experience company Bizzabo has acquired Israeli virtual event platform TeeVid. Through the new partnership, Bizzabo will now offer a full video production suite, which will allow planners to create content and video for attendees and partners that blends into a seamless TV-like experience. It’s Bizzabo's third acquisition in five months, following previously announced team-ups with Whalebone and x.ai.
AUSTIN: The Healthcare Facilities Symposium and Expo will return to the Austin Convention Center from Dec. 6-8. The expo hosts architects, designers, contractors and more, who bring new ideas and share research regarding the constantly changing healthcare industry. There will be panels and keynote speakers as well as an expo floor with over 100 healthcare solutions and providers.
LEESBURG, VA: The 2022 U.S. Figure Skating Championship Series, presented by Toyota, will be coming to Loudoun County Oct. 27-30 at Leesburg's Ion International Training Center, a 100,000-square-foot indoor facility with 3,500 stadium seats. More than 330 figure skaters from ages 8-28 are expected to compete.
NEW YORK: The American Ballet Theater's Fall Gala is returning Oct. 26 for the first time since 2019. The event will be held at the David H. Koch Theater and will have a performance and dinner. Expected attendees include Misty Copeland, Brooke Shields and more.
