CALGARY: The Canadian Country Music Awards will return to Calgary in fall 2022. Country music events will take place all week leading up to the award show, which will be held at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Calgary last hosted the event three years ago, and it is building on its reputation as a place for country music after the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame was relocated there.
Annabelle's Kitchen Downtown is collaborating with Rise Up Weekends and Wine alliance to host Ivy, Mistletoe and Music: A Blue Jay Sessions Holiday Dinner. The dinner is a two-night special from Dec. 16-17 and is co-hosted by drag queen Ivy League and award-winning singer Mariya Stokes. In addition to traditional pizza and pasta, Annabelle's will also be serving festive cocktails. Tickets are $30 and are available now.
MONTREAL: Imagine Monet, a new immersive art experience featuring work from French painter Claude Monet, will be held at the Arsenal Contemporary Art. The exhibit will start on Dec. 15 and run until February 2022, and it will display more than 200 works through projectors, giant murals and a unique soundtrack.
TORONTO: Global Black Pride will be presented as a hybrid event from July 28-31, 2022. The third annual edition of the event, which until now has only been held virtually, celebrates Black queer people around the world. Global Black Pride is spearheading the event with support from Blackness Yes! and Pride Toronto. The gathering will feature a human rights conference, workshops, performances, a festival and a parade.
VANCOUVER: Dine Out Vancouver will make its return in 2022 for its 20th year. The festival will start on Jan. 14 and run until Jan. 31. There will be hundreds of restaurants featured, each offering different multicourse meals at affordable price points. Special culinary experiences will also be announced.
