INTERNATIONAL: The IMEX Group has announced new dates for IMEX Frankfurt 2022. The 20th-anniversary trade show will now take place May 31 to June 2, giving the global meetings, incentive travel and event industry an additional five weeks to prepare amidst an increase in Omicron cases across Europe.
NATIONAL: Event software companies MeetingPlay and Aventri have merged and received a growth equity investment from Sunstone Partners and Camden Partners. Together they will provide full-service event software for events of all sizes. Eric Lochner, who has over 25 years of experience in building technology and technology-enabled services companies, has been named CEO of the new company.
ATLANTA: The 86th Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival will return to Piedmont Park from April 8-10. The event will include an artist market of 260 artists selected by a jury of visual arts professionals, plus entertainment like international performers, dance troupes, folklore theater, singing groups, and local indie rock and jazz bands.
LAS VEGAS: Lifestyle icon Martha Stewart will open her first-ever restaurant at Paris Las Vegas this spring. The Bedford by Martha Stewart will be an immersive restaurant concept inspired by Martha's country farmhouse in Bedford, N.Y.; signature menu items will be created from sourcing seasonal, high-quality ingredients from various local purveyors and some of Stewart’s personal favorites. The farmhouse-inspired space will have 194 seats.
PHILADELPHIA: The Radisson hotel brand has opened Radisson Hotel Philadelphia following an extensive multimillion-dollar renovation to fit the brand’s signature Scandinavian design. One new edition is a meeting room with city views that holds 275 attendees. The 212-room hotel is located in the heart of Philly’s Center City District, with easy access to Philadelphia International Airport.
