US: An Immersive Networking Brunch for Female Leaders, a Corporate Event at the Brooklyn Museum, Visit Seattle's First Female CEO and More

BOSTON: Ashley Stokes has been appointed director of group sales and events at Miraval Berkshires, a wellness destination located two hours outside of Boston. In this role, Stokes will help in leading the Miraval Berkshires sales and events team in setting objectives and achieving goals. Stokes brings with her more than a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, beginning in operations at a hotel in her hometown in Rhode Island and continuing to New York City, where she served as the associate director of sales at Kimpton Hotels + Restaurants.

MIAMI: Entreprenista Media, a networking platform for female leaders and the host of The Entreprenista Podcast, is throwing an immersive brunch experience on May 14. Taking place at Wynwood's newest nightlife experience, The MOON Miami, the event will feature a live musical performance by Lea Rose and panel discussions with female founders and CEOs. There will also be a live shopping experience and plenty of networking opportunities. To attend the Entreprenista Immersive Brunch Experience, aspiring guests can register to be a member of the Entreprenista League to receive an invitation.

NEW YORK: The Brooklyn-based corporate series "From Day One" returns to live programming in 2022 with an event titled "Workers and the Corporate Values Revolution," taking place on May 24 at the Brooklyn Museum. The event aims to bring together business leaders who can share strategies for making workers' well-being a top priority, learn effective strategies for creating a hybrid workplace and developing diversity. NYC-based creative studio MATTE Projects will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with an in-person party on April 23 at the Knockdown Center in Queens, dubbed MATTE Black, alongside the launch of a new Web3 platform, MATTE.WORLD. The live celebration will feature musical talent, including South Korean DJ Peggy Gou and German DJ Marcell Dettmann. Meanwhile, the website will offer NFT art for purchase, including merchandise collaborations and art exhibitions slated to take place in the metaverse.

SEATTLE: Visit Seattle announced that Tammy Blount-Canavan will serve as the company's president and CEO, effective May 9, making Blount-Canavan Visit Seattle's first female CEO. She is replacing Visit Seattle veteran Tom Norwalk, who retired earlier this spring. Blount-Canavan, from Vancouver, Canada, previously served as president and CEO of the the Tacoma Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau before leaving to serve as the president and CEO of the Monterey County Convention and Visitors Bureau in California.
