The Queen Elizabeth II Suite can accommodate up to four guests, and the offer includes tea service and brunch in the Empire Ballroom for up to four as well. Menu highlights include a seafood feast station, cheese table, and hot plates, such as Belgium waffles, slow-roasted beef short ribs, eggs Benedict, and more. Pricing starts at $4,000 per night, and patrons must call the hotel directly to make a reservation.
MONTREAL: Literary festival Metropolis Bleu will host live programming May 5-8 following an online rendition of the event April 28-May 4. Titled "What Age Are We? Planet, Society People," the festival will feature a conversation with Israeli novelist Yishai Sarid, plus sessions on speed editing, artificial intelligence, dictatorship, and more, not to mention opening and closing ceremonies. Tickets are available on Metropolis Bleu’s website starting at $7. For each ticket purchased to the festival, patrons will receive a book coupon of equal value.
The National Women’s Show takes place at Congress Palace Convention Centre May 13-15. Designed to be the ultimate girls’ day, the weekend will be filled with fashion, food, and shopping—from hundreds of exclusive products sold at the show’s exhibit, to cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, mini makeovers, and fashion shows courtesy of local brands. ONTARIO: ToDoOntario hosts “Birding & Breakfast” at the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre on May 14 at 7:30 a.m. The birding portion of the morning includes a 45-minute guided hike, where the marsh’s expert naturalist Patrick Jackson will help attendees identify calls, find birds with binoculars, and use the “All About Birds” pocket guide. Afterward, a sit-down breakfast will be served at Mom’s Restaurant at Wye Marsh, where guests are encouraged to review their photos and chat with other participants about their experience. TORONTO: Lighthouse Immersive’s virtual reality (VR) experience, The Library at Night, has been extended until May 29. Inspired by Canadian writer Alberto Manguel’s 2006 book by the same name, The Library at Night explores the theoretical, architectural, and social dimensions at libraries. Guests wear VR headsets that use 360-degree video immersion technology to experience fictional libraries from different historical moments around the world. Tickets are available on Lighthouse Immersive’s website for $40.
