GLOBAL: Global entertainment company Falcon's Beyond Global LLC has unveiled a signature retail, dining, and entertainment destination—Falcon’s Central—located in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The location will be home to four brick-and-mortar, location-based entertainment venues. Curiosity Playground is an experiential education destination that engages guests with intellectual properties (IPs) by seamlessly integrating family friendly media based on popular PBS Kids shows. Additionally, GameHub is a high-energy gastropub and arcade, StoryHub is a merchandise and apparel shop, and VQuarium is a virtual experience that teaches attendees about the planet.

MIAMI: Locally based hospitality group Barton G., which has event production and design services as well as dining establishments in Miami and Los Angeles, has named Chris Caldwell as president of events, experiential marketing, and development. Moving forward, Caldwell will be responsible for the continued growth and development of Barton G. as a leader of the hospitality and event industries. Over the course of his career, Caldwell has worked for clients, including the likes of FedEx, Mars, Liberty Mutual Insurance, IBM, Verizon, and Mercedes-Benz.

NASHVILLE: The Indigo Road Hospitality Group has announced Scott Kroener as the executive chef of Oak Steakhouse Nashville. Kroener will oversee the kitchen and spearhead the steakhouse’s culinary program with a strong focus on seasonal ingredients. He brings 20 years of experience to the role, which he accumulated after graduating as the valedictorian of the Culinary Institute of America.

NEW YORK: The Skinny, a bar and lounge in the East Village known for its anti-holiday “Naughty or Nice” pop-up, is hosting a summer pop-up from May 26 to Labor Day weekend. Dubbed “Wild At Heart Beach Club,” the bar will transform into an edgy tropical oasis with palm tree-clad wallpaper, greenery, paper parasols hanging from the ceiling, colored lights, and more. On Thursday nights, specialty cocktails will be $10 and GoGo dancers will perform starting at 10:30 p.m. And on Fridays, burlesque shows will take place upstairs at the “Lady Orchard Lounge” from 9-11 p.m.

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ.: Now through June 26, the Garden Shop—with the exception of Gertrude’s Restaurant and the Butterfly Exhibit—is welcoming pups every Sunday to enjoy walking trails and Instagram-worthy photo-ops. All dogs attending are required to be on a leash, licensed, and up-to-date on their vaccinations. Hydration stations will be located throughout the garden and owners are cautioned to be aware of signs of heat stress in their pups.
