US: Miami's 'Dream In Color' Pride Celebration, an Installation of Optical Illusions in New York, THE ROW’s 25th Annual BBQ, and More

GLOBAL: Hospitality investment firm LionGrove has acquired the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Puerto Rico Golf & Beach Resort in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. With the purchase, the property will remain part of the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts family and will retain its current Wyndham Grand brand. This is the second Puerto Rico resort to be owned and operated by the LionGrove team (the other is the Wyndham Palmas Beach & Golf Resort).

MIAMI: In honor Pride month, creative marketing agency Secret Sauce is partnering with Brickell City Centre (BCC) to host a “Dream In Color” celebration for members and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community. Free cocktail classes presented by CHAMBORD will take place on the Garden Deck every Saturday and Sunday throughout the month of June and will be hosted by queens featured on RuPaul’s Drag Race. Classes will run twice an hour from 3-8 p.m. on Saturdays and 2-7 p.m. on Sundays. Guests must be over 21 to participate, and RSVP is required as space is limited.

NEW YORK: NĂśTRL Vodka Seltzer is hosting a graduation event, dubbed “The Seltzer Graduation,” on June 7 at 5:30 p.m. at Hudson Yards. Designed to celebrate the transition to adulthood, the free ceremony and party will upgrade guests’ hard seltzer choices with vodka and real fruit juice. The Howard Hughes Corporation, in collaboration with the South Street Seaport Museum, will feature Lenticular Histories, an immersive installation of mirrors, historic photographers, and optical illusions created by Rose DeSiano. The exhibit, which is part of this year’s 21st annual River To River Festival, will be on display June 16-30 at Little Water Street and Front Street.

RENO, NEV.: THE ROW’s 25th Annual BBQ, Brews, and Blues Festival returns for its 25th year June 10-11. Attendees will have the opportunity to taste Nevada’s best barbecue, sample brews from 50 microbreweries, and enjoy live entertainment courtesy of Don Felder, Buddy Entertainment Blues Band, Shane Dwight, and more. Signature festival food highlights include St. Louis-style barbecue ribs, smoked beef brisket, and pulled pork.
