NATIONAL: Web-based sales and event management platform Tripleseat announced an integration with Square, the software, payments, and hardware company. The collaboration will improve digital payments for both event managers and customers with the ability to add online payment deposit options during the contract phase as booked events progress through the Tripleseat platform. Users can also view Tripleseat transactions within the Square dashboard and "Transactions" tab. Additionally, payment records in Square can be filtered by Tripleseat to recognize event revenue holistically.
LOS ANGELES: Howie Mandel has been named an advisor of the holoportation company Proto Inc., formerly known as Portl. The company will also be moving its headquarters to Mandel’s studios, where the television personality aims to show his own audience how easy it is to be in more than one place at once with Proto, which helps people experience real connections when they aren’t physically able to be together. Back in 2019, Proto invented the world’s first 4K, self-contained holoportation machine that is now used by major events and celebrities around the world.
NAPA, CALIF.: Broadway and Vine, which celebrates both Broadway and Wine Country, opened for its second season with a performance from Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominee Lea Michele at Carneros Resort’s Hilltop Vineyard in Napa, Calif. on June 7. Other exclusive events will continue for the duration of the summer, including performances from Jelani Remy and Lance Horne on July 11, Natalie Tenenbaum and Ciara Renée on Aug. 10, and Abby Mueller and Sharon Kenney on Sept. 20. Tickets begin at $95 and can be purchased on Broadway and Vine’s website.
NEW YORK: Nails.INC has collaborated with Magnum ice cream to create and launch a brand-new line of chocolate-scented nail polishes, inspired by the new Magnum ice cream Duet Bars. To celebrate, on June 24-25, Magnum ice cream will bring its Indulgence Studio to the Freehand Hotel in New York City from 1-7 p.m. On-site activities will include a Magnum ice cream edible spray paint bar, ice cream sampling, ice cream-inspired cocktails, nail art courtesy of celebrity nail artist Mei Kawajiri, and more.
PEORIA, ILL.: The 286-room Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette Hotel completed a property-wide renovation that pays homage to the hotel’s presidential history and 1920s glamor while bringing in elements of contemporary luxury. The overhaul was led by Eva Hill of boutique real estate investing firm Venture Oaks Real Estate Group. The hotel now boasts more than 18,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including four opulent ballrooms, plus an updated fitness center, indoor pool, Bourbon-centric bar, and more. The Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette Hotel is located in downtown Peoria and is connected to the Peoria Civic Center, which is the home to concerts, trade shows, sporting events, and exhibitions throughout the year.
