CANADA: Toronto Fundraiser for Epilepsy, Indian Summer Festival's 12th Season, World’s Largest and Longest-Running Multicultural Festival, and More

NATIONAL: Canada’s No.1-rated online brokerage, Questrade Financial Group, unveiled a 10-by-88-foot digital sign on the roof of its headquarters at Yonge Street and Finch in Toronto. The sign represents a Canadian success story of how an entrepreneurial company has become Canada’s fastest-growing online brokerage firm with over $30 billion in assets under administration in more than one million client accounts and several global locations. 

MONTREAL: Piknic Électronik, a large outdoor event celebrating electronic music on Sunday afternoons, will be held weekly from May 22-Oct. 2 overlooking the St. Lawrence River in Parc Jean-Drapeau. Piknic Électronik is celebrating its 19th season with over 100 different musical performances that celebrate classic electronic beats. The concert features local artists from all over Canada. Many different food and beverage options are available at the park. This event is also family friendly, offering an activity zone for kids.

TORONTO: The Toronto International BuskerFest will take over Woodbine Park from Sept. 2-5 and will serve as a fundraiser for Epilepsy Toronto. BuskerFest is full of street performers, magicians, comedians, musical performers, and more. Be sure to bring some spare change to tip the performers, and bring blankets or lawn chairs to kick back and enjoy the performances.

VANCOUVER: The Indian Summer Festival returns with in-person events from July 7-17. This Vancouver festival is coined as the “festival for the curious mind,” and this year’s event speaks to the theme of Inner/Outer Climates as events will be held on Granville Island and in Chan Centre for the Performing Arts. Different events include an art installation, free music Sundays, musical performances, and dance performances. Some events have free admission and others require tickets available online for purchase. 

WINNIPEG, MAN.: The Folklorama Festival will take over Winnipeg from July 31-Aug. 13. Tickets are on sale now. The festival bills itself as the world's largest and longest running multicultural festival. Guests will have the opportunity to try different food, listen to music performances, and celebrate different heritages.
