Atlantis Paradise Island in The Bahamas has collaborated with Tipsy Scoop, a liquor-infused ice cream company based in New York, to create a new rum-infused flavor. Banana Rum Chocolate Swirl is infused with white rum, banana rum cream, and swirled with chocolate fudge. The new flavor will be available during the month of August at Tipsy Scoop’s New York locations across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Long Beach, as well at The Cove pool at Atlantis Paradise Island on the weekends throughout the summer. To celebrate the partnership, free scoops will be given out on Aug. 16 in honor of National Rum Day at the three Tipsy Scoop locations and three lucky winners will win a two-night trip to Atlantis Paradise Island. Additionally, the flavor will be available for sale online through Aug. 31.

SAN MARTIN, CALIF.: CordeValle, a northern California destination resort, has announced Abraham Torre as the resort’s new executive chef. Torre’s new responsibilities will include managing the food and beverage operations at each of the property’s restaurants, overseeing the creation of new menu ideas and changes, as well as supervising kitchen staff. Torre’s arrival accompanies the resort’s full-property renovation, which will be completed this fall.

WASHINGTON, D.C.: The Watergate Hotel has launched Glow in the Dark Pickleball that is running July though Labor Day. Located in the hotel's new Spritz Garden, which features a pickleball court and a Chandon Spritz cart, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy rose, wines, and spritzes while eating specially curated pickleball-themed bites such as falafel (in pickleball, a falafel is when a shot doesn’t have much power behind it and doesn’t reach its full potential). Guests of the hotel can reserve time slots at the front desk, while locals can drop in on a first-come, first-served basis.
