GLOBAL: BodyHoliday, a wellness resort in St. Lucia, has announced the launch of its “Ultimate Wellness Villa Experience” package. In addition to the 155-key property’s treatments and activities, villa guests now have the opportunity to elevate their stay with private chef experiences, additional spa and fitness treatments, and a helicopter transfer to and from the property. Guests who book the “Ultimate Wellness Villa Experience” will stay in the two-bedroom Oasis Villa with daily spa treatments, access to all daily group activities, and a three-day “Better Aging Lifestyle” program of choice.
CALGARY: The BIG Winter Classic is a four-day festival taking place Jan. 25-29 that’s designed to celebrate Calgary year-round with art, music, and local beer. There will be performances from 90-plus bands including headliners Joyce Manor, A. Savage, Ron Gallo, Tempers, and more. Festival passes are available on Showpass starting at $48.43 for a day pass and $117.93 for a full weekend pass.
TORONTO: Now through Feb. 20, The Bentway is open—weekdays 5-9 p.m. and weekends noon-9 p.m.—for winter skating. Guests can expect skate rentals, skate sharpening, and a weekday hot chocolate bar. On Mondays, hot chocolate is free thanks to CityPlace Fort York BIA; and on Fridays, skate rentals are free courtesy of the Billy Bishop Toronto Airport. Winterlicious returns to Toronto Jan. 27-Feb. 9. The restaurant festival aims to support local eateries while celebrating the city’s restaurant scene. Customers will be able to enjoy three-course, prix fixe lunch and dinner menus at more than 220 local restaurants, including Amano Italian Kitchen, Bindia Indian Bistro, and Chop Steakhouse & Bar. Lunch menus will range from $20-$55 while dinner menus will range from $25-$75. A full list of participating restaurants is available on the City of Toronto's website.
VANCOUVER: The 60th annual Vancouver International Boat Show takes place Feb. 1-5 at BC Place and the marina at Granville Island. One- and two-day tickets are available on the boat show’s website for $18 and $25, respectively. Attendees can expect hundreds of boats to be on sale, plus more than 200 exhibitors, a new product showcase, and free seminars and workshops.
