US: Freeman's New Strategic Partnership, Utah Valley Univeristy's First Event Management Degree, PGA National Resort's Partnership with Blade Air Mobility, and More

GLOBAL: Global events leader Freeman has announced a strategic partnership with Sessionboard, a SaaS solution and speaker and content management system. The partnership will provide Freeman's customers with enhanced speaker and content management support. Sessionboard's services will be integrated with Freeman's existing event management solutions, including in presentation management, giving event organizers a seamless, end-to-end event approach to speaker management.

LAS VEGAS: Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art’s newest exhibition, In Bloom, is open now through Sept. 10. Created in collaboration with Tia Collection from Santa Fe, N.M., the exhibition is a collection of 30 works that explore the themes of rejuvenation, humanity, and collective change. The different pieces include still life and landscape paintings, kinetic and large sculptures, and featured art from the 20th-century American Southwest.

OREM, UTAH: Utah Valley University (UVU) announced a new bachelor’s degree program in event management through its Woodbury School of Business. The major is a first-of-its-kind program, and UVU previously introduced an event management minor five years ago. Through this major, students will focus on event research, design, organization, execution, and assessment. Curricula from UVU’s hospitality management and communications program will also be included. Additionally, the program will offer internships with businesses and organizations like Culinary Crafts, Michelle Leo Events, the Utah Valley Convention Center, and the Delta Center, with intentions to expand as the program develops. 

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLA.: The PGA National Resort is now Blade Air Mobility’s exclusive luxury hotel and resort partner in The Palm Beaches. With a newly constructed helipad on-site, guests now have the opportunity to arrive and depart via helicopter directly to and from nearby cities, like Miami and Fort Lauderdale. 

SARASOTA, FLA.: The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota has appointed Sofie Wachtmeister as its new marketing and public relations manager. Wachtmeister graduated from Marshall University and brings nearly a decade of experience to the role. She will be responsible for developing and executing the property’s overarching marketing strategy.
