How I got here: “I grew up in a small town in Utah and started my career with Marriott in Park City as a front desk agent before transferring to the JW in D.C. I left the company for four years to pursue on-property sales with Hilton, and now I’ve returned to the JW Marriott handling on-property convention sales.”
Next-level numbers: Wheeler has been challenged with booking $6.5 million in group rooms for 2016, and already within his first month back, he booked a two-year program that covers a weekend and a major need period for the hotel.
