Part of a trio that executes around 20 meetings globally each year ranging from 10 to 600 attendees, Ray is known by her peers for providing incredible educational content for her members in the medical professional liability industry. Ray is one of those lucky people who knew what she wanted to do as a kid and grew up to pursue it with laserlike focus. “I began by planning our family events and then attended George Mason University where I could study what I love,” she says about earning a degree in tourism and events management. She went on to land a valuable internship at the Travel Industry Association of America and soon leveraged that to get a position with PIAA. Ray began as associate meeting planner and was promoted within the first two years. Eventually a new senior meetings and education associate position was created specifically for her talents and she stepped into the role. “Everyone deserves an event where they feel comfortable, have fun and look forward to attending,” she says.
