Christian Wiggins
34, Chief Operating Officer, Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity
Charlotte
A political junkie, this COO doesn’t rule out running for public office one day. Over the past decade at Pi Kappa Phi, Wiggins has proven he has the personal skills, fundraising ability and big-picture thought process to earn votes. After leaving Caesars Entertainment, where he was hotel operations supervisor, Wiggins took on the role of director of alumni relations at the enormous fraternity. He parlayed the MBA he earned concurrently into the creation of COO, where he’s built a new strategic plan and developed a rebranding strategy at Pi Kappa Phi for its 100,000 members. The results speak for themselves: The biennial convention doubled from 500 to 1,000 attendees under his watch. More than 100 people have endorsed Wiggins for leadership skills on his LinkedIn page, a testament to his relationship-building abilities when creating meetings and events for the national organization. “Since joining the team nine years ago, he’s been critical to the renewed event success for the organization,” raves Denise Nelson, the fraternity’s assistant executive director of alumni engagement.
