Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center's Heather Yacouby

Heather Yacouby is the special events coordinator for the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Catering: “Great Performances does our annual staff appreciation week picnic in St. Catherine's Park. They make a spectacular BBQ beef brisket on a soft bun, penne pasta tossed with fresh vegetables, olive oil and garlic, and confetti cole slaw—simple, yet delicious, especially for the amount of people who are being served.”
Catering: “Marjorie’s Kitchen are classic and elegant but also a little bit trendy at the same time. [Owner Marjorie Wolfson] can do down-home or upscale. She runs the whole gamut.”

Entertainment: “The Hard Bop Trio is reasonable and easy to work with. When we added them to a program last year for the first time, we had people who had been coming to the party for 20 years commenting that [the trio] made all the difference.”

Venue: “The Grand Hyatt in Midtown is great. With hotels, you can get pretty standard quality service, but they try to keep up on the trends, change the way they do business. They present a different package than a hotel ordinarily would. I’ve had great experiences working with several Hyatt hotels—they are just really innovative.”
