The Sohn Investment Conference celebrates its 25th edition in 2020, when 3,000 of Wall Street’s top portfolio managers, asset allocators, and private investors will gather for speeches from leading finance gurus. Moving to Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall this year, the event will feature presenters that include C.E.O.s of companies like Zillow Group, Greenlight Capital, Liberty Media Corporation, and Cormorant. 2. UBS Global TMT Conference

Last year, UBS merged its former Global Technology Conference and Global Media and Communications Conference into a one-stop-shop event: the UBS Global TMT Conference. Focusing on technology, media, and telecommunications, the three-day gathering at the New York Hilton Midtown brought together 1,500 investors to hear insights from leaders of corporations ranging from Charter Communications to World Wrestling Entertainment to Texas Instruments. In 2020, the conference will move to the New York Sheraton Times Square Hotel. Next: December 7-9, 2020

4. American Banker's Most Powerful Women in Banking Awards Gala

In addition to honoring companies with strong female representation in their senior ranks, American Banker magazine’s annual awards gala recognizes 75 outstanding individuals in three categories: the 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking, the 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance, and the 25 Women to Watch. Eight-hundred guests attended last year’s black-tie dinner at Cipriani Wall Street, where Bank of America’s Cathy Bessant, J.P. Morgan’s Mary Callahan Erdoes, and Citigroup’s Mary McNiff were among the executives to receive honors. Next: October 15, 2020

5. GreenDeals Awards Night

Since 1992, New York real estate powerhouse S.L. Green Realty Corporation has hosted the GreenDeal Awards to recognize achievements in deal making. Last year’s event transformed Cipriani 42nd Street into a circus-inspired experience, complete with clowns, ringmasters, acrobats, a sword swallower, a snake charmer, and carnival fare. Winners from JLL, Newmark Knight Frank, and Cushman & Wakefield were on hand to accept their awards in front of a crowd of 550 brokers and industry insiders. Next: November 19, 2020
