On September 23, the Target Feria de la Familia took over the Plaza de la Raza Cultural Center in the Lincoln Park area, a free public, day-long event that benefited arts education programs for the youth of East L.A. More than 6,000 people turned out for the event, which included activities intended to celebrate the art, music, and traditions of Latino heritage. Event sponsor Target brought in Tarin Wilson of Plan A to handle the event production, who worked with Niki Delacueva of R. Jack Balthazar to create some cool decor—including an abundance of the brand’s red and white bull’s eye logos on seating areas and comprising flower arrangements.
