Paper and Motorola Kick Off Social's Reign

The gorgeous, cavernous Social Hollywood has now officially opened to the public—and is doing an extensive series of press dinners this week—but Paper magazine's "Beautiful People" issue party with Motorola was the event that started all the festivities there on April 25. The event, overseen by the mag's marketing director, Drew Elliott, and merchandising and promotions manager, Jacob Brown, showed a photo series—on blowups and a video screen—by famed photographer David LaChapelle, intended to celebrate the global launch of the colored Motorola Pebl phones. The restaurant dished up hors d'oeuvres, and Evolutionary Media Group handled PR.
