On July 2, management at Production Resource Group, an audiovisual and staging provider with offices across the world, announced that the company had purchased Hi-Tech Rentals, a national provider with headquarters in Atlanta. Company reps explained that PRG made the move to capture the customers whom Hi-Tech was able to focus on in smaller, more concentrated areas, due to its smaller size.
"Hi-Tech clients can expect the same high level of service; plus, now they'll be able to draw on PRG's unparalleled abilities to provide solutions across all the entertainment technologies-lighting, audio, video, and staging-as well as our presence in major markets throughout North America, Europe, and Asia," said Adam Benjamin, vice president of PRG Video.
Hi-Tech Rentals' former locations in Atlanta and Las Vegas will now operate under the name PRG/Hi-Tech, and its Orlando operations will move into PRG's Orlando space.
