Here’s a look at three new activities and tours for entertaining groups.
1. Florida Cultural Tours, a division of CanDo Event Planning, has been offering tours of Central Florida’s most prominent historical and cultural attractions, including Lake Ridge Winery, Harry P. Leu Gardens, and the Orange County Regional History Center. The company has four tour options, each with a minimum of three stops, though the tours can be customized. Prices start at $52 per person and include lunch.
2. After recent upgrades, Disney’s Wide World of Sports complex will soon be renamed the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex. Among other features, the new facility will offer teambuilding options like the ESPN Poker Club Challenge. Participants get $10,000 in logoed poker chips for the tournament, which is broken into 15-minute elimination rounds leading to the final table. The event package, available beginning in March for groups as large as 100, includes an ESPN host and assistant, poker tables with dealers and a pit boss, chips branded with a corporate logo, and a custom silver bracelet for the winner. Catering and bar services are also available.
3. Last month, vintage aircraft museum Fantasy of Flight introduced a new after-hours program. NightFlight is a four-hour ghost tour. Groups of 30 to 50 will get hands-on experience with the tools investigators use to detect supernatural activity around the museum's vintage planes. An orientation session with refreshments is included in the package, which is priced at $75 per person.
