VENUE: All-White Walls at Go

Yes, it's located between hot areas Chelsea and the meatpacking district, but Go, a new bar on Eighth Avenue, has a little something special to offer aside from the standard beautiful bartenders and lounge furniture. In the former space of Chicago B.L.U.E.S., owner Shawn Kolodny has installed a state-of-the-art lighting system to bathe the totally white space in a kaleidoscope of candy-colored lights. The 2,500-square-foot venue is otherwise pretty raw, so for a special event, you can bring in some colorful decor. At last week's overpacked Absolut party, the posters of the company's new ads gave the space an art gallery feel. --Suzanne Ito
