VENUE: Luxe Lounging at Morgans Bar

Following a squabble with watering hole impresario Rande Gerber, Ian Schrager revamped Morgans Bar and reopened it in October. The bar, first designed by Philippe Starck, was redesigned by Schrager's in-house design team. The bar now features luxe, 18th-century French-style furnishings in richly colored fabrics. The space offers a penthouse and a "living room" space, both of which can be used for events or meetings. The penthouse can accommodate 80 for cocktails or 35 for meetings, and the living room can hold 35 for cocktails or 15 for meetings. Hors d'oeuvres catering is available from Morgans Hotel's in-house restaurant, Asia de Cuba. --Suzanne Ito
