By now we know that the all-wood look —a la Butter and Industry Food—is in. But Chateau, the swank new bar that occupies the space of former uber-hotspot Moomba, takes it up a notch by combining a rustic Swiss ski lodge look with chic design details. Designed by Kip Marsh of Catenary Design Group, Chateau features a mixture of antique barn, walnut, cherry, oak and maple woods. Dramatic, curved wood panels gracefully undulate away from the wall behind the bar, and chandeliers fashioned out of deer antlers hang from the ceiling. Tall black leather banquettes, low cube seats and plush sofas line the walls. The room evokes a feeling of warmth and comfort, but the details keep it very elegant and modern. The 3,500-square-foot, two-story space can hold a total of 300. --Suzanne Ito
