It hasn't necessarily been considered much of an event space, but the Gramercy Park Hotel's in-house restaurant and bar have suddenly closed, according to New York magazine, which says "some speculate the owners may be looking to sell, perhaps to Gramercy Tavern's Danny Meyer." Meyer insists he isn't looking to expand anytime soon (he just opened Blue Smoke a few blocks away, after all), but it might not be long before some enterprising soul snatches the space up.
