VENUE: PM Has Tropical Flair

The former Chinghalle space now has a tropical flair as PM (for Post Meridien). With a nod to the owners' Haitian background, the club's exotic decor—which includes display cases filled with decorated bottles used in voodoo ceremonies—is rich in dark woods, dark brown leather banquettes with lustrous red cocktail tables and green stools. Two walls have large-scale murals and the rear of the space is dominated by a large bar painted in a luscious, glossy shade of red. During Fashion Week, the brand-new lounge hosted after-parties for designers Rosa Cha and Esteban Cortazar. The 2,750-square-foot space can seat 160 or hold 250 for a reception, and offers a menu of Creole-influenced tapas. —Mark Mavrigian
