VENUE: Huge Crobar in West Chelsea

A much-anticipated addition to the New York nightlife scene, Crobar holds numerous spaces within its 30,000-square-foot site on an industrial block in west Chelsea. To get to the club's massive 10,000-square-foot main room, you walk through a white tunnel designed to obscure the music playing in the club until you get to the huge dance floor. The large main private room—really a club within the club—overlooks the main room's expansive dance floor and includes a large bar and curvy backlit niches inside the walls that can accommodate posed models or dancers. A smaller room can hold 70, and another lounge with a private entrance can hold 300. The entire venue holds 2,750. The club's gigantic opening party is Thursday. —Mark Mavrigian
