SBE Nightlife Group continues on its venue-opening spree, having just launched its latest this month: Greystone Manor, a supper club in West Hollywood. There's room for 475 guests in 10,000 square feet. For now, the space is only open to the public two nights a week, but is available for buyout for events on any night.
Dinner service comes from SBE executive chef Danny Elmaleh—who is also behind the food at Cleo and Mercato di Vetro—and includes seasonally influenced shared plates like a pear salad and a short rib grilled-cheese sandwich. After 10 p.m., the space evolves into a nightclub with a dance floor and secluded areas and lounges. Designer Mark Zeff intended the look to blend neo-Renaissance with neo-Gothic decor, incorporating woodwork and rich fabrics with gilded irons and ornate moldings. The room has 20-foot ceilings, topped off with nine LED chandeliers, six columns, and two bars.
The space feels like a personal estate: An entrance gate and lush courtyard gives way to a grand ballroom with two staircases. Table service includes a personal butler, who offers to collect any items and place them in a storage compartment designated to the table.
There's a top-end Funktion-One sound system, an LED lighting system, and a slate of programming composed by nightlife producer Nick Montealegre, who supervises the marketing and entertainment.
