From crafting activities and pamper sessions to “stroller derby” and tea time, here are some creative ways to celebrate Mother’s Day this Sunday.

Actress Jessica Biel hosted Baby2Baby's Mother's Day Playdate, presented by Tiny Prints, on April 27 at Au Fudge in West Hollywood. The Mother's Day event welcomed 37 children and their moms from the LAUSD Homeless Education Program for a morning of arts and crafts that included cookie decorating and face painting for kids and manicures for moms. After the two-hour event, the families were sent home with bags of essentials that included hygienic products, food, and clothes.

Clothing line FabKids hosted a Mother's Day celebration at Au Fudge on April 23. The event featured "au pairs" for kids, while moms could enjoy brunch, pampering, and a photo booth with a colorful balloon and craft paper backdrop.

The event also featured products from the FabKids line on shelves adorned with inspiring Mother's Day messages.

Clement at the Peninsula New York will host a Mother's Day brunch on Sunday. The brunch will have a pop-up makeup counter from Sisley Paris offering gift bags and product samples, along with a variety of small desserts including lemon meringue tarts and carrot cakes.

San Diego's Bake Sale Bakery will host a special baking class for moms and their children on Saturday. The class will offer participants professional baking tips and instructions for recipes including apple pie à la mode. The three-hour class will also serve lunch items from the bakery menu and to-go bags with baked goods made during the session.

The Governor Henry Lippitt House Museum in Providence, Rhode Island, will host a daylong Mother's Day tea party. The event will feature a variety of international loose-leaf teas, a jazz quartet led by pianist James Scott Chowning, a signature cocktail, and sweet and savory bites curated by executive chef Edison L. Colon Torres of Delsie Catering Events. Food will include toast skagen and a special dessert for mothers inspired by Torres's mother who passed away when he was a child.

Florida-based Norman Love Confections, which has chocolate salons in Fort Myers, Estero, and Naples, has launched a colorful limited-edition Mother's Day line with 10 flavors inspired by real moms. The chocolates include Helen's Louisiana Pecan Praline, Patricia's Peanut Butter Marshmallow, and Gina's Do-It-All Double Shot Espresso. Gift boxes can be purchased on the company website and ship anywhere in the United States.

The launch of We Made It, a new line of creative children's kits and projects from a partnership with Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores and actress Jennifer Garner, took place in May 2015 at Shutters in Santa Monica, California. Various stations were set up for children and their parents to make individualized crafts, including colorful and decorative headbands.

At the 2012 Big City Moms "Biggest Baby Shower Ever" Consumer Expo, which took place at New York's Metropolitan Pavilion, Britax had an activation that invited attendees to participate in a "stroller derby" competition.

In 2012, Mott’s Fruitsations hosted a group of 40 mom bloggers, reporters, and their children for a family-friendly party at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. Games for children included a miniature beanbag toss.
