DALLAS/FORT WORTH: Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau has appointed Cori Kallenberger as P.R. and digital media specialist.

LOS ANGELES: The 26th annual Race to Erase MS Gala will take place May 10 at the Beverly Hilton. The event will honor Selma Blair and feature performances by Flo Rida and Aloe Blacc. 

Los Angeles Times: “Barely a month after Paris 2024 officials proposed the addition of breakdancing as an Olympic sport, a U.S. organizer has announced it will bring a major competition to Los Angeles later this spring. NEW YORK: Food Bank For New York City will host its annual Can Do Awards Dinner April 16 at Cipriani Wall Street. The event will honor chef José Andrés, David Burtka and Neil Patrick Harris, Hildy Simmons, and Stop & Shop.

The seventh annual Great American Hat Show will take place April 27 at the Watson Hotel. This year’s theme is “Afrikon Forever.” 

The New York Center for Children will host the 24th annual Spring Celebration Benefit, themed “The Magic of Hope,” May 6 at the Peninsula Hotel. The event will honor Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, Jr. 

The third annual Chita Rivera Awards, presented by N.Y.C. Dance Alliance Foundation Inc., will take place May 19 at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.

SAN DIEGO: “Petal to Plate by Visit Carlsbad,” a floral, culinary, and wellness celebration, will take place April 4-14. Events will take place at venues throughout Carlsbad, timed with the blooming at the Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. 

TORONTO: Nespresso’s Café Gourmand finale will take place April 1 at George Brown College. The national culinary competition will have three Canadian pastry chefs compete for a chance to win as much as $10,000 in scholarships. Food Network host and food critic Chris Nuttall-Smith will emcee the event.

The Bud Light Radler Brunch Fest will take place June 1-2 at Hotel X Toronto.

Ja Rule and Ashanti will headline Toronto’s Festival of Beer, taking place July 26-28 at Bandshell Park at Exhibition Place. 

WASHINGTON: Lansdowne Resort and Spa in Leesburg has rejoined the Benchmark Resorts & Hotels portfolio. Later this year, the property will introduce the Harmony Model wellness program and weekend wellness retreats for groups.
