LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY: Louisville Tourism has partnered with Jones Lang LaSalle America to develop a strategy to increase the city’s current visitation number from 16.4 million to 25 million by 2030.

MINNEAPOLIS: The International Live Events Association’s ILEA Live conference will take place August 8-10 at Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. 

NEW YORK: HBO will hold a special screening and game night experience for A Black Lady Sketch Show, the network’s new comedy series. The Read podcast host Crissle West will host the event, taking place July 30 at the Metrograph. 

Intersect by Lexus - N.Y.C.’s third global chef-in-residence is Tomás Kalika of Argentina’s Jewish Diaspora restaurant Mishiguene. Kalika’s residency will begin in September.

PHILADELPHIA: Visit Philadelphia’s new executive leadership team includes Rachel Ferguson, chief innovation and global diversity officer; Neil Frauenglass, chief marketing officer; Michael Newmuis, chief of staff of the president’s office; Cindy Ray, chief financial officer; Jim Werner, chief tourism officer; and James Zale, chief digital officer.

RICHMOND, VIRGINIA: The Tides Inn in Irvington has appointed Stuart Barwise general manager. 

SAN DIEGO: CartĂ© Hotel, an upcoming Curio Collection by Hilton hotel, will include three culinary venues helmed by food and beverage director Chans Rock, executive chef Cesar Oceguera, and executive sous chef Stephanie Armenta.  Flagship restaurant Watercolors will serve seafood; Fonte di Vino is a wine bar and tasting room; and Above Ash Social is a rooftop venue serving cocktails and light versions of traditional appetizers. 

TORONTO: The 44th Toronto International Film Festival will run September 5-15. On Tuesday, TIFF announced its first batch of films, which include a record 50 percent directed or co-directed by women. The first group of films includes A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, The Goldfinch, Harriet, and Hustlers
