CHICAGO: The Chicago Scots will hold its 18th annual Kilted Classic Golf Tournament on October 3 at Catigny Golf Course.

The eighth edition of Expo Chicago, which ran September 19-22, drew a record 38,000 visitors. 

LOS ANGELES: Werk It: A Women’s Podcast Festival will take place October 3-4 at the Theatre at Ace Hotel. The festival will include workshops, keynotes, and live tapings of podcasts including Hear to Slay

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: The Icaba Career & Business Summit will take place September 26 at Urban League of Broward County.

Marc Lore, president and C.E.O. of Walmart, will speak at N.R.F. 2020 Vision Retail’s Big Show, which takes place January 12-14 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. 

Gnoccheria Wall Street, an Italian restaurant owned by Luzzo’s Group, will open Thursday. The 5,700-square-foot restaurant will seat 195 guests. 

New York Cruise Lines has appointed John Banks to its board of directors.

PHILADELPHIA: The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau reports 697,000 overseas visitors traveled to the Greater Philadelphia region in 2018, marking a 7.5-percent year-over-year increase and the fourth consecutive year of growth. Overseas visitors also contributed $723 million in direct visitor spending, which generated $1.2 billion in economic impact. 

House of Vans will travel to Philadelphia October 10-13. Located in a warehouse at 404 North 2nd Street, the free pop-up will have curated programming, art installations and workshops, and performances by Tierra Whack, Phantogram, and more. 

SAN FRANCISCO: Audio tech company Mixhalo has appointed John Vars chief product officer. 

San Francisco Marriott Marquis has named Erin Musni senior sales executive.
