INDUSTRY NEWS: The International LGBTQ+ Travel Association is proud to announce Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, the original boutique hotel company, as a Silver Level global partner. IGLTA is the world’s leading network of LGBTQ+ hospitality and tourism businesses.

PRA has aligned with ECPAT-USA, the leading anti-trafficking policy organization in the United States seeking to end the commercial, sexual exploitation of children through awareness and advocacy, policy and legislation. Additionally, PRA has committed to 20BY20, a yearlong campaign with a goal of training 20,000 business events professionals by the end of 2020 to help combat and end global human trafficking.

AUSTIN: Auberge Resorts Collection announced plans for a Spring 2020 opening of its first urban retreat here. Commodore Perry Estate, Auberge Resorts Collection will be a “modern interpretation of a residential estate from yesteryear.”

LAS VEGAS: Treasure Island - TI Hotel & Casino, a Radisson Hotel has opened. The nearly 3,000-room resort is the company's first property on the Las Vegas Strip. 

LOS ANGELES: The inaugural Virgin Fest will take place June 6-7 at the Banc of California Stadium. The outdoor festival, the brainchild of Virgin founder Sir Richard Branson and C.E.O. Jason Felts, will take place across multiple stages; the lineup will be announced in early 2020.

NEW ORLEANS: The Higgins Hotel & Conference Center has opened in the Arts & Warehouse District. The 230-room boutique hotel, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, is across the street from the National WWII Museum.

NEW YORK: The Hudson River Park Friends fifth annual Playground Committee Luncheon is scheduled for January 24 at Current at Pier59 in Chelsea Piers. The luncheon and silent auction funds the committee's work to support equipment and programming at the park, including play areas, sports fields, educational environmental programs, and children's events.

Convene has opened a 73,000-square-foot location at Brookfield Place in Lower Manhattan.
