Industry News: BizBash Kicks Off a 'Conversations from the Inside' Virtual Discussion Series Surrounding COVID-19, Random House Launches a New Virtual Event Series, and More

Random House has launched a new virtual event series, hosted on the publishing company's Instagram page. Each week, authors will share information from their books, plus tips on forming new habits, cooking inspiration, book clubs, and more. 

DENVER: Pomegranate Hospitality turned Safta restaurant into a relief center, in partnership with chef Edward Lee and Lee Initiative, for restaurant workers who have been laid off or had a significant reduction in hours and/or pay. With help from Maker's Mark, Safta is now offering food and supplies to its industry colleagues in need. To-go dinners will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

GREENWICH, CONNECTICUT: Rather than canceling, nonprofit organization Greenwich International Film Festival is taking its annual film event completely virtual from May 1 to 3. 

ORLANDO/CENTRAL FLORIDA: Teambuilding experience company Wildly Different has launched new virtual teambuilding exercises meant to address travel bans and quarantine policies. New activities include the Getting To Know You Game, a Connections Game Show, and more.
