IMEX America Canceled, American Rental Association's New Certificate Program, and More

NATIONAL: The American Rental Association has launched an online training certificate program for event rental companies, in an effort to keep the rental experience safe in the wake of COVID-19. The program, called "Clean. Safe. Essential," features a variety of learning modules focused on supplies needed, safety considerations, a cleanliness checklist, and more. 

Three marketing, advertising, and creative agencies—MARC USA, BFG, and BLR/Further—have merged and rebranded as 9Rooftops. The new agency has more than 300 employees working out of nine cities around the country.

LGBTQ-focused nonprofit the It Gets Better Project will host a three-day event later this month. Taking place on YouTube June 24-26, the digital Pride event will be hosted by activities and Broadway actor Peppermint.

CHICAGO: Chicago has canceled all large outdoor events through Labor Day, including Lollapalooza, Chicago Jazz Festival, the Chicago Air and Water Show, and Taste of Chicago. 

LAS VEGAS: IMEX America, due to take place at the Sands Expo from September 15-17, has been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns. 

LOS ANGELES: Tustin, Calif.-based Tivoli Lighting has launched a new website, which allows for easier selection of architectural, auditorium, amphitheater, and commercial lighting and controls.
