US: Details on the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, The Mirage Plans Reopening, and More

NATIONAL: The Billboard Music Awards, produced by Dick Clark Productions, will take place on Oct. 14 and air live on NBC. Kelly Clarkson will host for the third consecutive year; additional details regarding production will be announced at a later date.

Group Nine Media has named Yosef Johnson president of its in-house branded content studio, Brandshop. 

LAS VEGAS: MGM Resorts International will reopen The Mirage on Aug. 27. The property is using a seven-point safety plan, including COVID-19 testing for employees, mandatory masks, physical distancing markers, and more. 

LOS ANGELES: The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) is offering limited-production face masks designed by the likes of Yoko Ono, Virgil Abloh, the Andy Warhol Foundation for Visual Arts, and six other artists. The "MOCA Masks" are available online for $28, and all proceeds support the museum.

Philip Barnes has been named general manager for the highly anticipated Fairmont Century Plaza and as regional vice president of Southern California for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. He most recently served as managing director for The Savoy in London.
