CANADA: A New Meetings Website, Drag Race Live at the Drive-In, An Applefest, and More

CALGARY: Tourism Calgary has launched a new meetings website featuring planner-friendly resources and a new sales planning campaign. The site has customizable venue and supplier databases, including event planning and activation tools.

MONTREAL: Canada’s Drag Race Live at the Drive-In will take place Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 at the Royalmount Drive-In Theatre. The 30-foot-wide stage equipped with an LED screen can host up to 250 cars. The venue will serve concessions via food and beverage delivery service so there is no need for guests to leave their cars. Tickets start at $89.

ST. GEORGE, N.B.: The village of St. George is hosting its 36th annual Applefest virtually Sept. 19-20. The event will feature music performances and a behind-the-scenes look of working at Brantwood Farm’s apple orchard. Attendees will have the opportunity to shop online from a selection of featured vendors to buy the apple products, antiques, and collectibles that are a staple at the annual in-person Applefest.

TORONTO: Don Alfonso 1890 is launching an upscale pop-up in Toronto’s famous landmark castle Casa Loma on Sept. 16. At the Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant, guests will experience an eight-course tasting menu among a floral exhibition  designed by the Casa Loma Gardens team. Reservations can now be made on Don Alfonso 1890’s website and via OpenTable.
