CANADA: Virtual Networking, A Drive-Thru Dinosaur Exhibit, Vancouver’s Hot Chocolate Festival, and More

CALGARY: SpeedCalgary Networking is hosting a virtual networking event Jan. 18 from 7-9 p.m. dubbed Business Relationships—One Table at a Time. Entrepreneurs, small business owners, and professionals in the medical, financial, entertainment industries, and beyond are encouraged to attend. Attendees will receive the opportunity to privately chat with a new guest every seven minutes.

TORONTO: Exhibition Place is slated to host Dino Drive, an immersive drive-thru dinosaur experience complete with 35 museum-quality animatronic prehistoric animals, from March 12-28. Tickets are $45 per car, and attendees can listen to an educational track via radio as they drive through the 30-minute exhibit.

Toronto’s St. Patrick Day Parade has been canceled for the second year in a row due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event had been an annual occurrence in Toronto for 30 years, attracting more than 3,000 participants and thousands of viewers.

Park Hyatt Toronto is scheduled to reopen in late spring 2021 after closing for renovations in 2019. Located in Yorkville, the updated hotel will boast 219 luxury guest rooms and suites along with a new ballroom, fresh meeting and event spaces, and a rooftop lounge.

VANCOUVER: Vancouver’s Hot Chocolate Festival is set to return for its 11th edition Jan. 16 to Feb. 14. The annual event embraces all things hot cocoa. The event’s organizers have yet to announce what changes and modifications the festival will undergo due to COVID-19.
