Artesha C. Moore is the new president and CEO of Association Forum, effective Feb. 14. Moore is currently the vice president of affiliation, engagement and membership of the American Geophysical Union and an active member of the American Society of Association Executives. Founded in 1916, Association Forum serves 4,000 association professionals whose efforts support more than 37 million members.
MONTREAL: To celebrate the one-year anniversary of its new music director and to make up for postponed events due to COVID-19, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra streamed a performance of Brahms' First Symphony, recorded at the Maison symphonique de Montreal, on Jan. 10. The free webcast can be viewed on the orchestra’s website until Jan. 31.
PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND: Canadian restaurant chain St. Louis Bar and Grill plans to open two locations in Price Edward Island, one in Charlottetown and another in Stratford. The company is aiming for an early- to late-summer opening. St. Louis Bar and Grill currently operates 80 locations in Canada and plans to move into the U.S. market soon.
TORONTO: Easton’s Group of Hotels plans to build Canada’s only Curio by Hilton near Toronto’s historic Distillery District. The 31-story hotel will have 392 guest rooms, plus a rooftop bar and restaurant, various ballroom and conference spaces, a spa and more. Construction is set to begin in mid-2022.
