CHICAGO: The Association Forum announced Robin L. Rone, executive director of Apra International and head of diversity, equity and inclusion at Smithbucklin, as the 2022 recipient of its Woman of Influence Award. Rone will be presented the award at the 10th annual Women’s Executive Forum on March 2 at the W Chicago–City Center. The 2022 Woman of Influence Award is sponsored by Bank of America, Delcor and HH Global.

LAS VEGAS: Leading trade show organizers Emerald and Questex will join forces for Las Vegas Food & Beverage Industry Week, an event featuring four premiere food shows under one roof at the Las Vegas Convention Center from March 21-24. SIAL America, Bar & Restaurant Expo (formerly known as Nightclub & Bar Show), Pizza Expo and World Tea Conference + Expo will occur concurrently, uniting decision-makers from all sectors of the $1.5 trillion food and beverage industry as it continues to recover.
NEW YORK: City Harvest, New York's first and largest food rescue organization, is hosting a family-friendly fundraising event to help feed the one in four New York City children and families who are experiencing food insecurity. The Virtual Winter Family Carnival 2022: Around The World is being co-hosted by City Harvest’s Junior Food Council of teen celebrity chefs including Madeline Zakarian. Guests have until Feb. 18 to purchase their event boxes; the virtual event will take place March 9.
PHOENIX/SCOTTSDALE: Driftwood Capital announced the purchase of The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch, a 326-room property that sits on 16.2 acres in the sought-after McCormick Ranch neighborhood. The property is getting ready to undergo a massive multimillion-dollar renovation. Upon completion, the resort will join Curio Collection by Hilton, a global set of upscale hotels. The Scottsdale Resort was the first conference resort in the U.S. when it originally opened in 1976.
