NATIONAL: ASAE—a membership organization of more than 48,000 association executives—has partnered with event engagement company Event Farm to leverage CLEAR Health Pass at all its in-person meetings in 2022. ASAE meeting registrants will be able to securely upload and access their COVID-19-related health information prior to an event; the partnership will also utilize Event Farm's technology surrounding crowd control, contactless data exchange and real-time SMS texting.
CALGARY: A new exhibit at the TELUS Spark Science Centre aims to bring physics to life through a 3,000-square-foot interactive playground. Quantum Sandbox, which opened on March 1, features floor-to-ceiling screens exploring the five principles of physics. As guests move through the gallery, the visuals react in real-time to each person’s position, acceleration, direction and speed. The exhibit is slated to run through December.
MONTREAL: Due to COVID-19 developments and the conflict in Ukraine, the world short-tracking speedskating championships have been rescheduled for April 8-10. The event, held at Montreal’s Maurice Richard Arena, was originally slated for March 18-20. The championships will be the first international short-track event hosted in Canada since the Four Continents Championships in January 2020.

VANCOUVER: Mumbai-based event agency Moving Heads Events is expanding to Canada and Dubai. The Canadian subsidiary, operating under the name TMH Media Canada, will operate out of Vancouver and focus on corporate events, with a specialization in the financial services and food and beverage industries.
