ALEXANDRIA, VA: Hyatt Centric Old Town Alexandria has announced Sam Selvi as the hotel's general manager and Charles Williams as the director of sales and marketing. Selvi joins the leadership team at one of the city’s newest boutique hotels after serving as general manager of Washington D.C.’s Arc Hotel. Meanwhile, Williams brings extensive experience from his previous positions working with renowned hotel groups such as Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons and Ritz-Carlton.
CHICAGO: Located at 108 North State Street, Five Iron Golf is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day March 12-20 with a variety of Ireland-inspired courses on the venue’s golf simulators, including at Adare Manor and Lahinch Golf Club. Green Bud Light Drafts and Jame-O Shots will also be on sale for $5, and $1 from every green beer purchase will be donated to St. Baldrick’s. Guinness and a shot of Jameson, corned beef sandwiches and other specials will also be available for $10.
ORLANDO/CENTRAL FLORIDA: AREA15 has announced that its second location will debut in Orlando in 2024. The immersive and experiential art, entertainment, dining and retail district will occupy about 300,000 square feet of space situated on 17 acres located off Interstate 4 in the heart of the city’s tourism corridor. There will be more than 150,000 square feet of retail space available for lease. Upon its opening, AREA15 Orlando will feature interactive art installations, extraordinary design elements, unique retail, innovative technology, plus bars, eateries and much more.
VERSAILLES, OHIO: Hotel Versailles, a boutique hotel located at 22 North Center Street, will open in May. The modern, luxurious new-build will feature 30 guest rooms and suites, on-site restaurant Silas Creative Kitchen + Cocktails and the 1819 Room—a meeting and event space fit for gatherings of up to 200. Local firm Kimberly O. Design has been tapped for the hotel’s decor, which draws inspiration from French architecture and sophistication.
