GLOBAL: RCP London Events, which hosts over 570 events per year at its London event venue and digitally across its virtual event platform, has achieved BVA BDRC VenueVerdict Gold Standard Accreditation. It is the only accreditation program determined entirely by the voice of the customer and based on the meeting experience. The VenueVerdict Gold Standard Accreditation is given to those properties recording a Net Promoter Score of 70 or higher from all event host responses in a 12-month period.
NATIONAL: "Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience," a new exhibition developed in partnership with the National Geographic Society, commemorates the 100th anniversary of one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time. Beyond King Tut will mark its world premiere with the start of its North American tour in spring 2022. The world premiere showings include a special installation at the National Geographic Museum in Washington, D.C. (June 2020 to Feb 2023) and SoWa Power Station in Boston (July 8 to Sept 18).
The National Cherry Blossom Festival announced that over 100 restaurants across Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia are participating in its 20th annual Cherry Picks program. Presented in conjunction with the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington, Cherry Picks showcases D.C.’s dining scene and encourages local residents and visitors to support the region’s restaurants throughout the 2022 National Cherry Blossom Festival, running from March 20 to April 17.
LAS VEGAS: Circa Resort & Casino, downtown Las Vegas’ first new resort in four decades, will debut 35,000 square feet of meeting and convention space this September. Circa’s meeting and convention offerings will feature a ballroom, breakout rooms and banquet space, adjacent prefunction space and a 1,600-square-foot outdoor terrace.
NEW YORK: George C. White will be honored by the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center at the 21st Monte Cristo Award Gala on April 11. White will be presented with the award by former Monte Cristo recipient Michael Douglas. The Monte Cristo Award is presented to a prominent individual each year in recognition of a distinguished career exemplifying Eugene O’Neill’s “pioneering spirit, unceasing artistic commitment and excellence,” and their efforts to further the American theater.
