CALGARY: The Inglewood Night Market, a modern market with locally sourced and handmade vendors, takes place on select Fridays—July 8, Aug. 12, Sept., 9, and Sept. 16—from 5-11 p.m. Admission is free, and pets are welcome to enjoy the outdoor market, which starts at the Nash Restaurant at 925 11 St. SE. Along with vendors selling handmade crafts, vintage clothing, antiques, and collectibles, there will also be live music, street performances, food trucks, and a family friendly beer garden.
TORONTO: Toronto’s Taco Fest makes its highly anticipated return June 17-19 at Ontario Place West Island. Thirty-five vendors, 125 taco variations, and 26 tequilas will be available for guests to try at the three-day event. Participating vendors include El Catrin, Gus Tacos, Birria Catrina, and many more. Tickets can be purchased on the festival’s website for designated, three-hour time slots and are $18.50.
The Toronto Craft Beer Festival (TCBF), the city’s largest celebration of independent craft brewers, takes place June 24-26. This will mark the fifth iteration of the event, which will feature 40-plus brands of craft beer, including ales, ciders, stouts, and lagers. Tickets are available on TCBF’s website for guests 19 and over and start at $35 for general admission. Each ticket includes five sample tokens, which equate to a $10 value.
VANCOUVER: The largest one-day Greek festival in Vancouver, Greek Day on Broadway, returns this year on June 26 as the grand finale event of a month-long Greek Heritage Festival. A five-block stretch on West Broadway—from Macdonald to Blenheim—will be closed off to make room for Greek food and drink vendors and live music. The pedestrian-only event will also promote travel experiences to the Mediterranean.
After a two-year hiatus, the Honda Celebration of Light takes place July 23, 27, and 30 at Concord Lounge featuring “Midnight Sun Fireworks” courtesy of Yukon Pyrotechnicians’ team. The show will bring musical soundtracks to life with surprise-and-delight moments. Attendees are also encouraged to come hungry as a wide selection of food trucks will be on-site. Doors open nightly at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available starting at $116.28 and include two complimentary drinks.
