US: The Hulu Motel, a New Comms Director at Encore, a 'Gaymer' Event in Vegas to Celebrate Pride Month, and More

GLOBAL: Jennifer Duffy has been announced as the new director of external communications for Encore, a global leader in event technology and production services. Duffy will be responsible for overseeing the company’s public relations and external communications, as well as shaping strategies through the development, implementation, and measurement of effective communication programs within Encore. Duffy will bring over 15 years of marketing experience to her new role at Encore. She most recently worked as VP of marketing at Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI). She's also worked in a PR capacity at Experience Scottsdale and Loews Hotels.

LAS VEGAS: HyperX Arena Las Vegas, located inside the Luxor Hotel and Casino, will host a “Gaymer Meet Up” event in celebration of Prime Month on June 26. Members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies will receive free entry and game play from 6 p.m. until close. Games include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Party, Smash Bros. Ultimate, and TwitchSports, among others.

LOS ANGELES: Hulu will take over the historic Sportsmen’s Lodge Hotel in Los Angeles June 23-25 with a new, immersive experience for fans. The “Hulu Motel” marketing campaign is centered around an experience for the most obsessed viewers. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the motel full of themed rooms and easter eggs. The motel is inspired by various original Hulu series including The Handmaid’s Tale, Bob’s Burgers, The Kardashians, and more. Admission to this 18-and-over event is free, but tickets must be reserved in advance on a first-come, first-serve basis. Food and beverages will also be available on-site.

SNOWMASS, COLO.: Viewline Resort Snowmass, a newly renovated slope-side resort located in Colorado’s Snowmass Village, announced Danielle Caswell as the resort’s new group sales manager. In her new role, Caswell will be responsible for building and nurturing customer relationships, prospecting new business, and increasing sales. The four-star resort features 254 guest rooms and recently underwent a $40-million renovation and rebrand. Three restaurants—Stark’s Alpine Grill, Viewline Lobby Bar, and Village Dining—are available on-site, as well as a new full-service spa. 

WASHINGTON, D.C.: Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), in partnership with Club Glow and Echostage, announced the headliner for the 40th Annual RAMMY Awards Gala taking place on July 24. Electronic music group Cash Cash, and its members Jean Paul Makhlouf, Alex Makhlouf, and Samuel Frisch, will headline and perform at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in partnership with Events DC for the big event.
