BURLINGTON, ONT.: The Halton Freedom Celebration Festival will take place at Spencer Smith Park on July 30 from 12-11 p.m. in Burlington, Ont. outside of Toronto. This festival will feature musical performances from local musicians, family friendly activities, plus cultural art, food, and beverages. Organized by the Halton Black History Awareness Society, the festival celebrates multicultural groups while promoting inclusivity and community integration. Admission is free.
MONTREAL: Osheaga, the festival musique et arts, presented by Bell and in collaboration with Coors Light, will be held July 29-31. To celebrate its 15th anniversary, the three-day fest will be held at Parc Jean-Drapeau, just minutes away from downtown Montreal, and will feature popular artists including Arcade Fire, The Kid Laroi, Future, Dua Lipa, Machine Gun Kelly, and more. Additionally, various art installations will be featured around the venue, as well as a variety of different food and beverages options such as vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. There will also be a kids zone complete with arts, crafts, and games. Tickets are available online and single-day tickets begin at $145.
NANAIMO, B.C.: The Nanaimo Marine Festival will be held throughout the city of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island from July 22-24. This festival will feature The Great World Championship Bathtub Race, which will take place on July 24, and will welcome participants and racers from all over the world to participate in a 58 km ocean race seeking to win their class. And throughout the weekend, live musical performances, parades, local food trucks and vendors, arts and crafts, and more will be featured leading up to the big race. Admission to the festival is free.
TORONTO: The Toronto Food Truck Festival will return to Woodbine Park July 29-Aug. 1 for a weekend of good food and entertainment. More than 30 food trucks will be in attendance for guests to enjoy a variety of different foods and beverages. Live music and different activities will be available for guests to participate in. Admission to this event is free, and all ages are welcome.
VANCOUVER: The 2022 Vancouver Pride Parade will be held in-person for the first time in two years on July 31 from 12-3 p.m. Starting on Robson Street on Vancouver’s West End and ending beside the Sunset Beach festival site, this year's event will mark the 44th annual parade. Fundraising collected during the Toonie Brigade will go toward the Vancouver Pride Society.
