CANADA: Brewhalla Beer and Music Festival, Smorgasburg Travels to Toronto, Weekly Latin Dance Classes in Vancouver, and More

NATIONAL: The Brewhalla Beer and Music Festival will travel around Canada throughout the summer months. The festival’s first stop was in Fort Langley in May, and it will continue to Port Moody next on Aug. 5-6, and the final stop will be in North Vancouver on Sept. 30. Each festival features more than 60 craft beers from local breweries, as well as live performances from Canadian artists. Additionally, food trucks and a selection of beverages will be available for guests to enjoy while listening to music and participating in lawn games and giveaways.

TORONTO: Smorgasburg, a weekly, open-air food market in the United States—including cities such as Brooklyn, Jersey City, Los Angeles, Manhattan, and Miami—has taken its first-ever international stint to 7 Queens Quay East in Toronto. The event will feature more than 30 local vendors, including various types of food, desserts, beverages, and more. Smorgasburg Toronto will be held beginning July 23 and run until Sept. 10. The Canadian Smorgasburg is produced by Landon Logie, a local event producer specializing in designing F&B events. 

VANCOUVER: Vancouver Civic Theatre is presenting a free dance class, dubbed Dance Dance Dance, led by Dance in Transit. Free Latin dance classes will be held outdoors every Friday (on July 22, July 29, Aug. 5, and Aug. 12). Featured dances include the salsa, the bachata, and the Argentine tango. No experience is required.

The 2022 Vancouver Mural Festival will run Aug. 4-14 and take over Vancouver's new City Centre Festival Hub. The celebration will feature block parties, mural tours, community talks, live performances, and more—all focusing on connecting people and art. The 11-day festival will also showcase more than 30 murals for the public to enjoy and explore throughout the festival. Admission to the family friendly event is free.
